Tabby Press

We publish what the sellers won’t.

Tabby Press builds and runs independent comparison sites and buyer’s guides — in travel, and in the business software that small firms actually have to choose between.

The work

Comparison sites

Long-form, structured comparison of a single category, built on a dataset rather than on opinion. Every page derives from the same source of truth, so no product can be favoured by presenting it more generously than the next one.

Buyer’s guides

The questions people actually search before they spend money — what a thing costs, what it excludes, and which of the obvious answers is wrong. Written to be read once and acted on, not to hold attention.

Destination guides

Practical travel writing for places we know properly, published in the languages the visitors to those places actually read.

Why it exists

Most category pricing on the internet is copied, and much of it is wrong.

Comparison content has a quiet failure mode: one site estimates a price, a second cites the first, and within a year four sites carry a number the seller never published. We have found categories where every major review site quotes the same figure and every one of them is wrong — the number belonged to a different product.

So we do the dull version. A price appears on one of our sites only when it appears on the seller’s own page, with a link to that page and the date we checked it. Where a seller won’t publish, we say so plainly and leave the space empty rather than filling it with an estimate.

Working with us

For vendors and operators

We work with a small number of the companies we cover — on qualified enquiries, placement and sponsorship. Commercial arrangements never affect rankings, and we say so on every page that carries one. If a category we cover is yours, we are easy to reach.
